First book Signing to be held tomorrow at the Pottsville Library

"A Young Man's Game: The successes and struggles of a young person getting involved in politics,"  will be available for purchase at its first local book signing on Tuesday, February 4th, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Pottsville Free Public Library.  If you already reserved a copy, it will be available at the signing tomorrow evening.  If you are not able to make the event, you will be contacted Wednesday for arrangements to receive your book.

Scott Thomas Announces Upcoming Book

Pottsville, PA—Former Pottsville Mayoral candidate Scott Thomas has announced the upcoming release February of his new book, ‘A Young Man’s Game’.  The book deals with many of the successes and struggles of a young person getting involved in politics from Thomas’ own experience. 

“Running for office as an 18 year old high school student is much different than running for office at any other time in your life,” Thomas said referring to his election to the Republican State Committee in 2008.

The book will be a look into Thomas’ own perspective of his own campaigns and a broader look at ‘coal region’ politics.   

“Regardless of age or party, it’s important to become involved in the local community and politics.  A person cannot change anything if they refuse to get involved,” Thomas added.

Thomas is a former member of the Pottsville Area School Board (2009-2013) and currently a member of the Republican State Committee which he was elected to in 2008.  In 2012, Thomas was elected to represent the 17^th Congressional District as a Delegate to the Republican National Convention.
